Hello everyone: Welcome to our brand new newsletter! I hope you like our new look, I know that I am very happy with the way it has turned out. I have a lot of new things in store for us, so thank you for taking the time to get signed up. First, I wanted to let you know that I have a new blog starting soon along with so many other fun things coming your way. If you know of anyone who might be interested in our newsletters and/or website, feel free to shoot them a link to get signed up. I’d like to start by saying April was a very busy month! Not only were we busy getting everyone rolled over to the new site and e-mail system, I had a lot of fishing to do! :0) 
The Sealy McDonald tournament on Lake Sam Rayburn was a lot of fun and we actually got some nice weather this year! I fished all three days and caught a lot of fish but all were in the 2-3 lb range. Overall, there were 2 double digit fish brought in (a 10.60 lb and a 10.27) along with a few 9 pounders. I did notice that the person who won the tournament said they were using watermelon colored worm, Texas rigged – which is exactly what I was throwing – but I guess he found the right spot before I did (oh well, I had half of it right)! LOL!! I also fished The 2 of Us Couples Tournament on Toledo Bend last Sunday which was a fun event. If you ladies have ever thought about getting involved in a fun tournament, that is for couples – this is one to check out. Even though I caught a bunch of fish, Toledo Bend was really tough on size. We weighed two fish in, but not enough to do anything. Speaking of couples tournaments, I am happy to say that Reel Girls Fish is now a proud sponsor of C.A.S.T (http://www.fishcast.com), and The 2 of Us Couples Tournament (http://www.the2ofuscouplestournaments.com). Even though I haven’t had the opportunity to fish any of the C.A.S.T tournaments yet, I know they are a great group and another couple tournament team that is worth checking out. In addition to the couples’ tournaments, Reel Girls Fish has also become a proud sponsor of the Katy Bassmasters Junior Pro Team (http://katybassmasters.garysmock.com/youthclub.html). This is a great group of youngsters who fish youth club tournaments and participate in many activities such as how to clinics, conservation and good fishing ethics. We are proud to be a part of such a great group of youngsters and helping them fulfill their dreams through fishing. As for upcoming events, I’ll be fishing the Dr. Shelton tournament on Lake Sam Rayburn this weekend and the Sealy McDonald tournament on Toledo Bend mid May. Speaking of the Sealy tournament, I am planning on having my booth up again this year, so please try to come over and visit if you are in the area. And last but certainly not least, I’d love to hear from you. I would like to know what it is you’d like to see in our monthly newsletters and blogs. I have had a few requests for upcoming weather conditions, what we’re using, what we’re catching, etc., so if there is anything that you would like to see more of (or not so much of) let me know, and I’ll try to make it happen. Remember, this newsletter is for you and I want you to get the most out of it. So, if there is anything I can do to make it better; I welcome your comments and/or suggestions.
